Understanding travellers and optimizing their experience with AI
During this session, we will discuss different use cases of AI in the travel industry. AI is already helping travel providers to better understand why people travel and how they choose their trips.
These insights are key ingredients to better serve traveller needs during their journey: from the inspiration phase (eg., where / when to travel), search and booking, during the trip (eg., checking and airport experience, activities in destinations), and even post trip activities (eg., reviews).

More than 15 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence and Operations Research.
Currently leading the AI Research department at Amadeus. His main responsibilities include leading exploratory and applied research for the travel industry (e.g., airlines, airports, travel agencies, etc). Several former research projects started by Rodrigo and the team are now in production, impacting thousands of travellers every day. Strongly committed with the research community, his works have been presented at more than 40 international conferences and published several research papers & patents in these fields.
