Dr. Richard Benjamins is Chief AI & Data Strategist at Telefonica and co-founder of the Spanish Observatory for Ethical and Social Impacts of AI (OdiseIA).
He is an expert to the European Parliament’s AI Observatory (EPAIO) and deputy board member of the Spanish Industrial Association for AI. He was Group Chief Data Officer at AXA, member of the European Commission’s B2G data-sharing Expert Group, and founder of Telefonica’s Big Data for Social Good department. He is author of the books “El mito del algoritmo”, “A Data-Driven Company”, y “El algoritmo y yo”, and has published over 100 scientific articles.
